Employment

Equal Access

Our approach is to work collaboratively with local partners to provide appropriate interventions and offer the support to women and families. BME groups across Tees Valley still experience barriers to accessing employment and require additional support to enable them in acquiring secured employment. The Tees Valley Inclusion Project CIC aims to provide a tailored employability and skills programme; “Diversity Works”, which will support to unemployed BME women and individuals seeking support and advice. Specifically, this will include:-

1. Career Advice- Sector specific, job-matching, identifying transferrable skills.

2. C.V. writing and job application support-providing tailored interventions according to job role, interview and presentation skills.

3. Peer mentoring workshops- providing seminars and community workshops which engage positive role models and raise aspirations for individuals seeking employment. The Tees Valley Inclusion Project CIC will also work with Employers across Tees Valley who require assistance with improving their workforce profile to better reflect the local community, The project will advise and support organisations to meet their equality and diversity objectives with regards to employment, retention and progression of BME staff.
